Rosy pink flowers with white central bars and yellow stamens

Highly fragrant, unusual for a large-flowered clematis

Blooms prolifically from May-June on old wood and again from Aug.-Sept. on the new growth

Flowers are followed by attractive seed heads

Leaves are bronze in spring

Its compact habit makes this a good choice for containers

Does not like extremely hot, sunny conditions; protect from afternoon sun in southern zones
