The House Band is re-uniting for a special 25th Anniversary show to benefit the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. This group was created 25 years ago in Circleville and performed at a variety of venues and events in Pickaway County over the years. In preparation for this reunion (they now jokingly refer to themselves as the “This Old House Band”), they are embarking on an ambitious “World Tour” of 2 shows in Ohio! The group will perform music from their earliest shows (including some original songs) as well as some newer tunes.
The band consists of Charlie Jackson (vocals/guitar); Bill Hill (vocals/guitar); Mike Mills (vocals/guitar), Wes Hart (vocals/drums), David Gastel (keyboards/harp); Dave Rainey (vocals/bass).
Charlie is the co-owner and coordinator of live music programing at Natalie’s Grandview and a lifelong lover of music. Bill Hill remembers the first song he ever heard was “I Want to Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles and reflects “that was it for me, I fell in love with music.” Mike Mills is a veteran musician who has performed with a variety of bands over the years, including Goldrush, Majic Souls and the Pickaway All Star Band. Wes Hart has been playing drums since elementary school, marched with the Ohio University Marching 110 and has performed with the Dynamic Mention Drum Corp, Silver Spur Band, and Sweet Sixteen Jazz Band. David Gastel performed with the Teeny Tucker Band on keyboards and harmonica for 10 years and is currently playing with John Henry & The Rainmakers. Dave Rainey performs with his daughters in The Raineys and was in the Jazz group Sweet Sixteen.
Proceeds from the show will benefit the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, an organization that provides more than 170,000 meals each day for hungry people in 20 central and eastern Ohio counties, including Franklin and Pickaway County. For more information, visit their website at https://mofc.org/
